Can two wheel tuesday be a thing? I usually post for MR2sday, but I don’t have any updates on that front.

The original bars on the Blast are these mini ape hangars. They’re not terrible, but they leave you pretty upright and it’s not the greatest for sporty riding.

So after searching the forums, the prevailing opinion was to go with some Bikemaster Superbike bars.

The hardest part was removing the grips from the old bars, but once that was done, I simply trimmed about 1.5” off each end of the bar and swapped over all the controls.

The riding position is pretty sweet now. I haven’t gotten to put many miles on the new bars, but first impression is that it’s a nice improvement. The bike is much more willing to lean into the turns and it’s easier to position myself during said turns.

And it doesn’t look like a school bike anymore.

Nice job!

Are the original bars 1 inch or 7/8? Willing to sell the original bars? I could use them if they are 7/8.

After a quick google it looks like they are 7/8.

Yeah they are 7/8. I want to get a little more time on the new bars before I get rid of the old ones, but I’d probably be willing to sell them
